Welcome To My Home Page
This site is dedicated to the men and women fighting the war on terrorism. It's focus is mainly on the Canadian Navy Pacific Fleet, but I want to let them all know how proud we are of them. This scrapbook was garnered mainly from The Department of National Defence website, as well as various news items. For a more detailed description of each ship, go to the Navy website and follow the links to the various ships. Follow the links on this page for Flash animations and other ships and descriptions.
Listing Site Updates
Sunday, February 17, 2002
Well, after several false starts including wiping out the entire site when I tried to
import my flash program from another site, I think I'm finally on my way. I finally just
linked the two sites rather than go through that again. I had to drop the mp3 from the
end of the flash because it took too long to load, but I'm thinking I might try to put it
in with my slide show. We'll see.

Tuesday, February 19, 2002
I finished setting up the Photo Pages and linking the various crests to the pages that
contain the ships of that name. I also added a small version of the Flash movie to this site.
Guest book has been added.

I added a link to the Custom Page for the complete Flash movie. Be prepared for a long downlaod time, but well worth the wait and once your cookies are loaded in your
browser, it should load instantly.
Go Here And Prepare To Be Dazzled
Go HERE for some really neat Flash animations. I did have it set up to play sound throughout the whole sequence, but it took too long to load, so I'm afraid you'll have to settle for music in just the first two scenes. Too bad, because I really like the John Lee Hooker sequence. The crests around the Marpac plaque take you to other flashed pictures. If you don't already have Macromedia Flash installed on your computer, you can get it at the Macromedia website. Scroll to the bottom of their page and download the free Macromedia Flash Player.
I've heard that some people are having a hard time loading the Flash Animations on my other site, so I've given you a chopped down version that you can access from the Fleet Crest on the first Photo Page of this site.

If You Want To Sign The Guest Book . . .
I've set up my guest book on the Guest Book link if you'd like to make a comment about the site, either praising or complaining{Warning: I laugh at complaints, but I will take them to heart} or if you have something that you think would improve the site, please feel free to email me or make a post.

If You'd Like To Link To My Site
If you'd like to link to this site let me know and I'll set up a links page.If you'd like to listen to music while surfing the web try This Site. They have a player that minimizes to the top of the screen leaving your browser screen for viewing. The radio stations they have right now are minimal but they do promise more. What I like about it, the player doesn't seem to buffer too much, the way Real Player and Media Player do.

The Oriole At Sunset
The HMCS Oriole is the training vessel of the Canadian Navy, used used to make real men into real sailors.
